Who Can Claim the R560 Child Support Grant?

– You need to be the main person taking care of the child. This means you could be the parent grandparent or guardian.

– You must live in South Africa and be a citizen permanent resident or refugee.

– Your income needs to be below certain limits. If you’re single you can earn up to R52,800 per year.

– If you’re married the combined income limit is R105600 per year.

– The child must be under 18 years old and live with you.

You can’t get paid to look after the child and the child can’t be living in a government facility. That’s all you need to know about getting a Child Support Grant. Just make sure you meet these basic rules & you can apply.

– October 2025 All child support payments & related children’s grants will be given out on Thursday October 4 2025.

– This is different from past months when payments were split up.

– Before this the older people got paid on day 2 of the month.

Disabled people received their money on day 3.

– Parents got their child support on day 4.

Now everyone will get paid on the same day.

You can get your SASSA payments in three ways.

– The first option is having the money sent straight to your bank account.

– The second way is using a SASSA card to pay for things at stores or payment locations.
